The Raw Wing Chun Martial Arts System
Raw Wing Chun’s Martial Arts system teaches you to find balance between expressing the physical movements, understanding the concepts, while utilising the internal power source as the engine. The internal power source is taught through the principals which unify the body and mind, this forms what we call the internal “state”. Once this state is active we are much more effective in expressing our goals without having to adhere to set movement patterns. We have a solid open structure that can absorb force, respond with power and move freely under pressure. Our mind is then able to take over and focus our intent more sharply.
Students are guided and taught how to focus the mind to create awareness and then cultivate the unity in the body in order to achieve the balance of an powerful active internal state and dynamic external movements.
The Raw Wing Chun Principles
If the principles are used completely and correctly in their raw from, it allows our expressions to be successful in any situation as our expression becomes a fusion with the other person. It enables us to be free from intensity of force, speed, angle, distance, physical restriction and style.
External Principles – For the physical expression
- Practicality – Use what works, discard what doesn’t
- Economy Of Movement – Utilise correct movement patterns/mechanics
- Directness – Respond in a fast manner by using the Centreline Theory
- Relaxation – Use the least amount of effort to absorb force and adapt
Internal Principles – Form the engine that creates the power source
- Activate and cultivate the bodies centre of mass as the base and anchor
- Cultivate open and balanced structure from the inside
- Unify your body through conscious and constant relaxation
- Aim and focus your internal power

“I have always been curious about energy and our awareness, and using it to strengthen the body & mind. For me, martial arts always represented a kind of discipline of self connection. When I found Raw Wing Chun, it could not have come at a better time. It became my inner (rather than outer) practice. My goal is to increase the opening potential within the mind & body, oh and to become a ninja some day.
I have loved my one on one sessions, for the relaxation, pain relief & connection each and every session leaves me with. Instruction is incredible. Very in tune, detailed, specifically tailored, thorough & effective. I felt the results from the very first session.
– Ira (Business Advisor)
“I have experienced three other Wing Chun schools. I believe Raw Wing Chun will help me be the best I can be. In my experience, this school is superior in the execution of both teaching and training. It is the first school I feel the Sifu actually takes a keen interest in my progression. When I need and ask for help the Sifu will actually take the time to help me.”
“It is a welcoming, inclusive learning environment. I have found the instruction at this school to be far superior than any school I’ve been to before.”
